FULL SCRIPT:
Why would paratroopers only jump from one door when the plane has two? You see, in 1979, the military allowed simultaneous exits from both sides of the aircraft. But when two troopers jumped from opposite doors, their canopies opened and drifted straight toward each other. And once the parachute lines tangled, the soldiers slammed together midair, falling from over 10,000 ft. This method caused seven paratroopers to die before it was finally banned by the military.
